Acupuncture is safe and effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to medications. It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or alongside manual and physical therapy.

Background
Acupuncture is rooted in over 2,000 years of Far Eastern medical tradition, focused on the flow of “qi” through meridians. Western or medical acupuncture is a more recent development, used by doctors and physiotherapists on the basis of a Western medical diagnosis alongside traditional approaches focused on overall wellbeing.
